CANCELLATION POLICY All confirmed half day and full day tour bookings may be transferred or refunded up to 48 hours prior to the date and time of tour booking (excludes $20 online booking fee). No refunds will be given for cancellations within 48 hours of departure. All confirmed multi-day tour bookings may be transferred or refunded up to 7 days prior to the date and time of tour booking (excludes $20 online booking fee). No refunds will be given for cancellations within 7 days of departure. All tours are subject to change at the discretion of Hokitika Scenic Tours for reasons of weather conditions, road conditions, and /or operational requirements. Hokitika Scenic Tours will not be liable for any consequential losses or additional costs incurred because of cancellation. All bookings are refundable if Hokitika Scenic Tours cancels the service. HEALTH & SAFETY - RISK DISCLOSURE All tours have inherent risks involved and can be dangerous. By booking a tour with Hokitika Scenic Tours, you agree that you understand and accept the risks of the tour and agree to participate. Many of our tours operate in areas that may be remote, have rapidly changing and sometimes extreme weather, have difficult to access paths, uneven or steep terrain, or be close to or on cold water. Moderate fitness may be required in some tours. While all safety precautions are taken, it is the participants responsibility to ensure they have brought with them appropriate clothing/footwear and have the required fitness/skill level for each tour. Hokitika Scenic Tours will not be liable for sickness or injury to customer/s, or any damage to or loss of property while traveling on tour or undertaking a service/activity that Hokitika Scenic Tours recommends. Hokitika Scenic Tours reserves the right to remove any person/s if they believe they are threatening the safety and enjoyment of the other travellers or guide. This may result in the termination of your tour. There will be no refunds and customers will be responsible for their own travel costs and arrangements from that point onward. Anyone suffering from illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition must declare the true nature of such a condition at the time of booking and plan for the provision of any medication or other treatment required during the tour. Failure to declare will constitute a breach of these booking conditions and may exclude you from the tour. Hokitika Scenic Tours may use third-party suppliers or providers of some services and products and as such act as agents for those. Any claim or liability resulting from those services or products is the responsibility of the supplier or provider. Please read suppliers terms conditions carefully. At the time of booking, we will endeavour to provide you with any information we feel you should be aware of and upon request can supply terms and conditions. Ultimately this is your responsibility to ensure you are happy with all terms. All prices are in $NZD and include a GST of 15% (goods and services tax). Prices are subject to change without notice. Travel Insurance Travel Insurance is not mandatory but highly recommended for all travellers. Your travel insurance should cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation. We also strongly recommend it covers cancellation, curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects. If you are injured whilst in New Zealand – Accident Compensation Commission may be able to help with the cost of the treatment and support your need whilst you’re here. However, it is important to be aware that you cannot sue for personal injury – ACC replaces that right. Alterations to tours may occur due to road or weather conditions, strikes, public holidays, local festivals and cultural or other reasons. Due to the nature of the terrain and remote areas, weather fluctuations can adversely affect road conditions that may also change planned itinerary with little or no notice. Hokitika Scenic Tours is Qualmark NZ Gold accredited. Holds a registered NZ Transport Service Licence and Department of Conservation concession. All driver/guides have been vetted by Police and hold a Passenger Endorsement Licence. Cancellation policies are specific to each supplier and are detailed on the payment confirmation page prior to final booking confirmation Bookit's non-refundable fee of NZD20.00 also applies to all cancellations regardless of the supplier’s cancellation policy. Where you are entitled to a refund the refund will be made to the same credit card that you used to confirm the booking For amendments of bookings additional charges or a refund may apply depending on the nature of the booking amendment If you make a booking using a discount code you will not be able to use that discount code on any subsequent booking amendment. Amendments will be made using the normal price of the product being amended.
